Critical listening 13

I wanted to do my last critical listening on one of my favorite songs even though I do not believe it is much Jazz related. The song starts off with what I imagine is a Cello. The tenor of the cello almost makes you feel sad and weary, like being lost on a dark road in the middle of a cold winter. The emotional aspect of this song is incredible in my opinion. Many more strings come in and then the Piano begins its amazing Course. The way the piano plays almost takes you up and down, up and down, up and down, emotionally as well as in terms of scale. The part that the piano is playing differs amongst two choruses I think. My best guess would be ABBA 16 bar format. It's just so close to me when the pianist switches I can’t decide. I hope you enjoy this beautiful piece. All their other music is hard core heavy metal so I think it shows that even though many people don’t appreciate or acknowledge heavy metal musicians they are very talented when looked at through these glasses.

  1. Lots of synthesized sound. Who recorded it?

    1. This was a Band called As Blood Runs Black. They usually only play rock though!
